NOT PERFECT Vll “Showing Up”
“Showing Up” arrives from a place of unexpectedness. There are sudden splashes, quiet surprises, and moments that feel like small miracles. Some elements only emerge later, becoming more visible over time.
Against all Odds
This exhibition brings together a wide range of artistic voices and media while responding to the recent changes in Provincetown’s gallery landscape. By offering a new venue for artists affected by recent gallery closures, Tilley’s hopes to help sustain the visibility of important creative voices within the community.
NOT PERFECT
Opening Reception - Saturday, September 21, 5-7pm
“After traveling the narrow, curvy mountainside roads of the Greek Islands for two months this past summer, the stonewalls and shack-like structures stayed with me back at my studio in Provincetown. The small houses and storage huts sprinkle over the hand made terraced farms and aid me in continuing my abstracted attraction to the square forms. The florescent colors of my paintings are the highlights of Greek culture and their vibrant activities shared with family and friends.”
