Barbara Cohen received her BA from Tufts University and the school of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston with earlier studies in art history at Oxford University. She has received numerous grants including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the Artists Foundation Mass Fellowship Program, Polaroid Artist Support Program, Blanche E. Colman Award and grants from the Cambridge and Massachusetts Arts Councils. She received a colony residency to the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Barbara has exhibited her work in numerous galleries and museums across the country.
She is represented in Massachusetts by Kobalt Gallery in Provincetown,Kennedy Studios of Provincetown and Addison Art Gallery in Orleans.
Barbara's current book of vibrant painted Polaroids is Dog In The Dunes Revisited.
Barbara lives and works in Provincetown and Manhattan.
